[Epitomes of theological works]. [ca. 1679]

A manuscript volume of notes and epitomes on various (mostly Puritan) theological works, and dating from about 1679. Written throughout in a very neat hand, the volume is well-organized by individual work and appears to record the compiler's act of reading through each book in order. Works epitomized include many by Richard Sibbes and Bishop Edward Reynolds, as well as texts by Samuel Crook, John Preston and Joseph Alleine.

203 p., bound ; 16 cm.
